Binaries Nvu 0.17
By glazou on Friday 20 February 2004, 16:41 - Nvu - Permalink
Linux and Windows binaries are on their way to this directory. Don't run at once there, I am uploading right now...
- linux users: sorry I forgot to place the first tarball's contents into an enclosing dir.. This is of course fixed with this new tarball. You should not need any more the extra libstdc++
- windows users: no need to download the two extra microsoft libraries with this new installer
What's new ? proxy configuration, return key in paragraphs management, stop button in site manager, DT/DD toolbar buttons, more code cleanup, and a few extra stuff that you don't see in the UI yet
Last minute update: windows binaries are now in

Comments
Yes, the Windows binaries give me "The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the program.", even after a redownload with an empty cache.
[note from Daniel] the files are in now; give it another try
Bonjour,
je crois que j'ai le même problème que la première personne qui a laissé son commentaire.
Je suis sous GNU/Linux et voilà ce que me dit 'gunzip' :
[jp install]$ gunzip nvu-0.17-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz
gunzip: nvu-0.17-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz: not in gzip format
[jp install]$
After reading:
"[note from Daniel] the files are in now; give it another try"
i downloaded and installed Nvu, 0.17.
I had no problem downloading, and installing Nvu under Windows 98.
A small remark: on my desktop i see an icon for Nvu (the default moz. Composer icon, from Grayrest?), but in the windows taskbar i do not see an appropriate icon, but instead an ugly windows icon.
is it possible to build nvu for mac os x at his time?
Yes; it's working fine now
greg, do you have a mac os x binary that you are willing share to save some time?
ahh, i guess you were talking about the latest fix from daniel...
I feel your pain pax.... i just continue to sit here in envy waiting for a os x build, from someone, anyone. I'm so excited for this software as a designer, i'll just have to keep waiting.
Well I got it to build on OS X sort of. Still acting rather strange. www.noved.org/~stephen/pu...
Dude, what i would do to get ahold of a package file of that from you (or even just a zip with the app in it)
jp : c'est du .tar.gz, pas du .zip, essaye :
tar xvzf nvu-0.17-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz
Would like to see an option to set the direction property to either RTL|LTR in the CSS editor. Seem to only support text-align as far as I can tell.
Also, for many users (Arabic, Hebrew etc.) having this on the GUI would be usefull as well I guess.
Regards and cheers for an amazing work,
Uri
Bug report (where should they go ?) :
Nvu 0.17 - Win XP :
When editing CSS Stylesheets, the "Down" button to move the declarations order doesn't work (it just removes the focus). The "Up" one does, though, which gives a workaround. Weird...
Can someone confirm this.
bug report for 0.17:
when using CSS editor, in the text tab, the font size fonctionality does not work
