Nvu progress 20041210

- successfully built Nvu 0.60 based on the FF1.0 codebase on WinXP, Linspire 4.5, Fedora 2 and Mac OS X. Extensions management works fine. Remaining issues:
- major: Linspire and Fedora 2 builds unable to launch external browser
- minor: one needs to quit twice or force-quit on Mac OS X
- normal: hiddenWindow.xul is incorrect on mac. Implies a deep reorg of editor.xul and editorOverlay.xul, those two files being quite messy...
- trivial: composer/locales is done and ok but cleanup in composer/base and composer/components still needs to be done
- Nvu 0.60 en français devrait sortir dans les jours qui viennent, me dit Flore que je remercie. Only the inline help might remain untranslated.

Can we download this nvu 0.60 so when can create extensions for this great program
It seems the command line option -edit is broken in 0.60. It worked great in 0.50. I use -edit file:///"<filename>" on a Windows XP machine.
Otherwise, this tool is GREAT!

The progress you're making is impressive, but I'm still not able to use NVU for any of my own development because of it's lack of PHP support. Is support for PHP on your horizon at all? Is it anywhere on the release roadmap?

Editing a table based web page is very slow on a Centrino 1,5 Ghz. I.e. this page:
www.giovaniemissione.it/t...
go to source view, type ANY data into a table, and then go to preview...
it takes me about 20 seconds to switch view.
Luca, I noticed this since Nvu0.50. Its possibly due to the syntaxhighlighting in Source view mode. The difference between 0.50 and 0.60 is that the time taken by Nvu0.50 from Normal/Tags/Preview mode to Source view (about 3-4secs on my 2.0GHz PIV box) is almost nil for 0.60. However, Nvu0.60 takes around 10secs for me to change from Source view to Normal view (0.50 took 4-5secs.). So don't worry, improvement is there.
