Brussels just confirmed antitrust sanctions against Microsoft
Three cheers for the Poles, as well; perhaps software patents can be avoided in the EU. Although I'm not aware of any patent attacks by Microsoft (as yet), perhaps antitrust sanctions will make them tread more carefully in Europe. With any luck, we in the U.S. can someday rid ourselves of the software patent albatross.
if you agree there is another battle in EU, it is the software patent directive were Poland are opposite it.
Poland Sottosecretary has flyed from Poland to Brussel for stopped the approvation of EU directive in 21 dic 2004.
