Those who read the french newspaper "Le Canard Enchaîné" this week already know Bernadette Chirac, Jacques's wife, made a big fuss because the two ducks living in the gardens of the Palais de L'Elysée, the official residence of the french presidents, disappeared a while ago. Apparently, they were eaten by the dog of Claude Chirac, the president's daughter.
Those who read international news today learned that George W. Bush and Jacques Chirac shook hand and had a little chat today in Rome, attending JohnPaulSky's funerals, the last you-have-to-be-seen-there chic place. Davos in the winter? Pfff. Better Rome in the spring!
So what do you think was the subject of the discussion? Probably ducks again

Je me souviens d'une histoire lue dans Courrier International: pendant des mois, la femme de je ne sais plus quel ministre avait essayé de sauver l'écosystème de son parc de fonction par la réintroduction progressive de bestioles (poissons, hérons, renards, canards). Et a fini par refiler les canards à l'Elysée.
