why dont you release another public release candidate? another final round of public testing. that way i am sure more bugs will appear and the THEN final 1.0 will be even better. just an idea
Well I'm afraid the release date of NVU Final is already fixed - and the party that goes with it:-)
Of course there is a risk to have a NVU 1.0.1 in August, but well at least you will get an update quickly, and not drag the bugs for years as with some commercial products I won't name
Daniel has done a lot for NVU - and Linspire contract is probably not stretchable as much as he wants... Remember Daniel does that for a living, he is not your usual after-the-boring-job free-software working geek, he makes money with it, and it is what makes him and his familly eat!

and that's why i suggest adding more people into the team, with Glazman as the lead developer
