I have just downloaded the 224 megabytes of free trial. This is clearly a superb piece of software. Sincere congratulations to the team behind it, even if, with my Nvu hat on, that's quite hard to say that....

Perhaps it's a superb piece of software because it was originally developped by another company than Microsoft (at least for Microsoft Graphic Designer)...
This is not the case with EWD. It's basically a downed version of Visual Studio WD with some elements of Frontpage (like the synchronization).
I would not be that quick to dismiss MS developers as inapt...
They have continuously proven that they can do history with their software, if they have enough motivation.
And proper web developement suite is long overdue from them...
I'll have to take a look at it, but still, 224MB for a Web suite?! How bloated is that?
