A quoi sert spotlight alors?
Bon d'accord, là on voit mieux les icônes qu'avec Spotlight.
Pourrait servir mais sur Jaguar ou Panther. Pas sur Tiger et suivants.
Dommage.
I use Quicksilver to launch my apps on OS X : you just have to type the first letter(s), it's really fast. Spotlight is too low.

You can laugh all you want, but user studies have showed that when users are given a task to find a certain piece of information, they often perform better when presented with many options (when properly grouped) than with all the options buried in a selected few general and abstract categories (like the way applications are organized in the applications folder on a mac).
For instance is "Excel" located in the folder "Microsoft Office 2004"
You should not underestimate humans ability to scan large sets of information when they clearly know what they are looking for.

You would use muscle memory and learn where to move your mouse to without actually looking at the page of icons in detail...

Comme quoi, entre l'image et la réalité, il y a parfois un hic et il se pourrait que la plate-forme "symbol of good design" vaille un peu moins que sa réputation.
"Todos" est effectivement risible, mais son existence ainsi que celle de QuickSilver et sans doute bien d'autres montrent que MacOS X se montre ergonomiquement bien médiocre pour le lancement d'applications autres que les plus fréquentes. Quand il y a besoin d'un plugin pour remplir correctement une fonctionnalité de base, c'est mauvais signe.
À comparer avec ce sytème proposé pour une plateforme qui pour le coup a un potentiel assez largement supérieur à sa réputation :

Je ne vois vraiment pas l'interet d'un pareil logiciel. Pomme + A suffit à afficher le dossier des applications.
Personnelement j'ai créé un raccourci vers le dossier Application dans le dock. Un simple click droit dessus permet de m'afficher un déroulé de toutes les applications et répertoire compris dans le dossier Application, en bref... un menu démarrer Apple.
