Outlook pain

Because I have a few contacts stored in outlook on my old machine (yeah, I know, I know), I wanted to export them to a file and load them on my new machine. Let's seeeeeee... Select Contacts, Export as a pst file ; download it from the other machine, import as a pst from outlook, DONG ! "This file is not a personal folders file"... That's a joke. MSOE is not even able to load a file saved by itself. *sigh*

Did you export your contacts folder?
I learned my lesson, always export as every file type from outlook, csv, access, xls, tab-separated, etc....
This switch to gmail ASAP! lol
.pst files are for emails, not contacts.
bambitroll: so why the hell can I export contacts as a *.pst ?!? That should not be allowed...
Franchement, cela ne m'étonne qu'a moitié ...
That's why I call Outlook either "Foutlook" (fout (Dutch) = error (English)) or "Outvloek" (vloek = curse; 'vloek' is pronounced almost exactly as the Enlish word look with a v prefixed).
Actually, "PST" files under Microsoft Outlook may contain contacts (and e-mails, and calendar items, and notes, TODOs, and any other kind of item Outlook is supposed to handle). I don't know what features of the PST format Outlook _Express_ is able to actually use, though.
