The australian PM replied quite sharply "Mind your own business" to europeans complaining that Australia refuses the Kyoto protocol. Of course, he totally misses the point : we have only one planet for all of us, the climate is global, what you do down under impacts the whole world, and when europeans ask Australia and the United States of America to respect the Kyoto protocol, they do mind their own business...

And it has to be mentioned that when french Chirac resumed nuclear testing years ago in french polynesia, Australia did not really mind its own business, did it ? Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying nuclear testings were a good idea, I'm just saying Australia dared not only give strong advice to my country, but also boycott french products and be rough to french tourists to the point people almost stopped travelling to Australia and New-Zealand at that time...
