developer.mozilla.org

It's now the seventh day in a row that Search on developer.mozilla.org is horked. And since I came back seven days ago from my summer vacation, it could be even older than that... So to search on devmo, I now have to ask Google for "MDC %s" where %s is my query and the results are not always optimal
Urgh.

I realised how much I rely on that search this week, and how bad my recall of javascript is after even a brief time away from it. So far I've had to use the same workaround about a dozen times.

"That's pretty much all I have to say about that..."
On 4th Aug Sheppy (blog) replied to a query on the subject:
"IT is actively trying to understand why the indexer keeps bombing on us. It’ll be fixed as soon as they can sort it out."
I miss the search too.
I'm using google with site:developer.mozilla.org - the results have always been better than the MDC search results (I don't get japanese search results etc.)
I suggest moving away from MDC to a bunch of text files in a hg repository - grep and hg always work
After we switched to dikiwiki (or was it from dikiwiki?) has the results always been bogus.
Been using https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fi... since it was created
