Not bad. Not bad at all.
Lacks a differentiating factor compared to the other clients however. I would highly suggest proper video/audio support to be pushed as such a feature. Good luck.
I'm on 0.3pre version and checking for updates doesn't bring up the new 1.0. Any clues as to why? I would really appreciate them!
@Gabriela: 0.3*pre* is a nightly build which updates itself to the next nightly (almost) everyday. 1.0 is a stable release that people will keep for a long time. If you have an up to date nightly (which is the case if you have recently checked for updates :)), you already have all the features of Instantbird 1.0. The only differences are the version number displayed in the about dialog and the application icon. We haven't bumped the version number yet on nightly builds, mostly because we haven't decided yet if the next version will be Instantbird 1.1 or 2.0. In any case, don't worry, you have a build that will still receive updates :).
By the way, thanks for using Instantbird.
@Florian: many thanks for such a clear answer!
Yes, I have a nightly build because as soon as I discovered Instantbird (and thrilled because I could use another Mozilla software, just as Firefox to be able to see my contacts from the two messengers I had at the time, having tried other software to do so but not liking them at all) I installed it but it failed to open two accounts at the same time. I asked about this in IRC's #Instantbird and they suggested to install a nightly build, so I did. And it worked flawlessly since then. I've recently added another messenger account and it keeps it's good work!
I'm a Firefox fan as you can surely see!
